Are you looking for a new challenge? Something outside the NHS ? Something different and rewarding?? Are you looking for upto £31,000pa (experience dependant), a company car or car allowance and in some cases a London weighting allowance ? You will also get 21 days training per year which is made up of clinical supervision, nurse/corporate induction, regional training/mentoring, My client is in the process of introducing new training schemes in this area too.

My Client is the UK’s longest established provider of homecare services, with the origins of the business going back to 1975. The company cares for 10,000 people in their own homes, as an alternative to hospital based care. The company mainly works with the NHS to manage patients, by avoiding the need for them to go into hospital, or by enabling a more timely discharge.

We are currently expanding the team UK Wide and are looking for Oncology Nurses Band 5 and above. The ideal candidates will have at least 2/3 years Oncology experience and administration of chemotherapy, phlebotomy/cannulation experience is essential. You will preferably also have an oncology related qualification.

You will need to have experience in:-

• Experience of cannulation
• Administering Chemotherapy
• IV skills, central, implanted and peripheral
• Phlebotomy
• A minimum of 2 years experience - Band 5 or above

Other skills you may have are:-

Broad and generalist experience – clinical managerial
Community care experience
Commercial experience
An understanding of Clinical Governance
Involvement in incident and complaint management
Experience of working in critical care area

This service will be delivered through the existing regionally based nursing teams and the new oncology posts will be fully integrated into these teams and work alongside our established teams.

The advertised posts will be key to delivering a quality service to this patient group and offer opportunities to assist in these exciting developments, as well as offering very real personal professional development opportunities.
They will be delivering chemo and not just administering it so they need to have a minimum of 6 months experience delivering chemotherapy intravenously within the last 2 years.
They need to be able to canulate and have recent experience, also have experience of central venus access devices.
